Healthcare & Pharma

Product integrity is patient safety, and it has to be provable.

Continuous cold chain evidence, produced as a by-product of the operation.

/ The context /

Why this sector, why now.

Cold rooms, pharmacies, distribution vehicles and critical equipment carry an obligation that is continuous, while the evidence of meeting it is usually assembled retrospectively. Continuous monitoring closes that gap and produces the record as a by-product of the operation.

  • 01Healthcare transformation at scale

The Health Sector Transformation Program is reshaping how care is delivered and funded. New operating models bring clearer accountability for quality, safety and cost.

  • 02Local pharma manufacturing grows

Localisation efforts are expanding medicine and vaccine production in the Kingdom. More product is stored and moved domestically, under the same expectations of integrity.

  • 03Regulatory scrutiny is continuous

Inspections increasingly expect a complete temperature history, not a clean spot check. Gaps in the record are treated as gaps in control.

/ The challenges /

What the operation is up against.

01

Records are assembled after the fact

Manual logs and standalone data loggers are downloaded when someone asks. Excursions are discovered days later, when the product may already be used.

02

Alarms nobody answers

Local fridge alarms sound in empty rooms at night. By morning the stock is quarantined and the cause is guesswork.

03

The cold chain breaks in transit

Warehouses may be well monitored while vehicles and handovers are not. The weakest leg of the journey is the one with the least evidence.

04

Critical equipment fails quietly

Freezers, incubators and HVAC drift before they fail. Without condition data, maintenance reacts to the failure rather than the warning.

/ What we connect /

The whole estate, on one record.

Whatever the brand, protocol or supplier — joined to the systems that already run the business.

In storage

  • Cold rooms
  • Pharmacy fridges
  • Ultra-low freezers
  • Vaccine stores
  • Door and power status

In transit

  • Refrigerated vehicles
  • Insulated boxes and shippers
  • Handover points
  • Route and delivery times

Around the facility

  • Temperature and humidity by room
  • Pressure in clean areas
  • HVAC and chillers
  • Backup power

Systems of record

  • Warehouse management
  • ERP
  • Quality management
  • Maintenance systems

/ By role /

One platform. Four different questions answered.

Quality manager

Can we show a complete temperature history for this batch?

  • Continuous records from storage through delivery.
  • Excursions logged with duration, cause and action.
  • Inspection-ready reports without manual compilation.

Pharmacy director

Will I know tonight if a fridge fails?

  • Alerts escalated by SMS, call and app.
  • Clear ownership until someone acknowledges.
  • Less stock quarantined because of a late response.

Distribution manager

What happened to the temperature between the warehouse and the hospital?

  • Live temperature and location on every delivery.
  • Handover records at each point of custody.
  • Evidence that resolves disputes quickly.

Facilities manager

Which critical equipment is about to let us down?

  • Condition trends on freezers, HVAC and power.
  • Maintenance planned before a failure hits stock.
  • Energy use tracked across the facility.

/ How we engage /

From first conversation to the whole estate.

  1. 1

    Map the cold chain

We trace the product journey with quality and operations teams, from receipt to patient, and identify where evidence is weakest.

  2. 2

    Monitor one site

Connect a warehouse or hospital pharmacy, set thresholds with quality, and agree who is alerted, how, and in what order.

  3. 3

    Close the transit gap

Extend monitoring to vehicles and handovers so the record is continuous. Review excursions and response times against the baseline.

  4. 4

    Roll out the network

Add sites, fleets and critical equipment, integrate WMS and quality systems, and standardise reporting across the organisation.

/ Compliance /

The record the regulator asks for, produced as you operate.

Confirm the exact format your authority requires and we map the export to it.

  • 01Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA)

Continuous temperature and humidity records are designed to support the storage and distribution requirements SFDA applies to medicines and medical products, with reporting mapped to those requirements.

  • 02Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)

Where operational data touches patient or staff information, access controls and retention settings are designed to support PDPL obligations overseen by SDAIA.

  • 03NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls

Platform access, logging and in-Kingdom hosting are designed to support alignment with the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls for healthcare entities.

/ Security & sovereignty /

Sovereign is a place, not a promise.

In-Kingdom residency

Data stored and processed inside Saudi Arabia, on infrastructure you can name in a tender.

Built to national controls

Designed to align with NCA cybersecurity controls and the Personal Data Protection Law.

Isolated by tenant

Tenant isolation, role-based access and a full audit trail across users, actions and devices.

Your cloud or site

Deploy into a sovereign cloud, your private cloud or on-premises without becoming a different product.

/ Questions /

Frequently asked.

Do sensors need calibration certificates?

Calibration requirements depend on your quality system. We can supply sensors with calibration documentation and help plan recalibration cycles. Validation of the overall system remains with your quality team.

What happens if the network goes down?

Sensors buffer readings locally and send them when connectivity returns, so the record stays complete. Loss of communication itself can trigger an alert.

Can we use existing data loggers?

Sometimes. We assess whether current loggers can deliver continuous data to the platform. Where they only support manual download, we recommend connected alternatives.

Where is the data hosted?

Inside the Kingdom. Temperature, location and any related personal data stays in Saudi Arabia on a sovereign platform, with controls designed around NCA and PDPL requirements.

Does it integrate with our WMS or ERP?

Yes. Excursions can be linked to batches and locations in your warehouse or ERP system, so quality decisions are made with the full picture. Scope is agreed during the pilot.

Bring us the decision that takes too long today.

Start with the problem. IoT Cube provides the foundation underneath.
